An appropriation of Girl with Ermine by the Italian Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci.
This piece is part of a series of work from a few years ago, focusing on the appropriation of renaissance art to reflect family relationships, betrayal and dysfunction from an autobiographical view. Da Vinci had a complicated and dysfunctional childhood, so it seems fitting to use a piece of his work to explore similar complications in my own life and those around me.
