Collection: Roz Owen : Potter : West Wales

Roz is a small batch potter from west Wales taking her inspiration from the rugged landscape. Using both wheel thrown and handbuilding techniques to create functional and decorative forms she uses carving and glazes to reflect the colours and markings found in the landscape. 

Texture is a key part of Roz’s work and for Primal Tribal Beats at Studio Cennen she has created a pared back, monchrome collection using rough black stoneware, white porcelain and soft satin glazes. The palette is muted and the marks and carving are looser, more primitive, than her usual work and have led in a direction Roz is keen to explore further.
