Ruth is an artist, designer-maker creating art pieces from repurposed fabrics and threads, naturally dyed, and often incorporating found objects. Ruth studied Textiles Art at Goldsmith’s College, London.

Always engaged with textiles, she has never stopped sewing, but has begun to re-explore the use of textiles as an art form/media. In her art work, she is exploring the expression of the beauty of nature and materials during the process of decay and the promise of renewal, recreation

The pleasure of discovering the small hidden details and the way that speaks of the wonder of nature, creation and history. The repurposing of damaged and unused textiles has become a feature of her work, particularly those that already have a history through their embroidery and use.
