Nicholas studied sculpture at Norwich School of Art, hugely influenced by the tutoring, work and 'vision' of renowned Welsh sculptor David Nash. 

"My professional life has been in music composition and education and I now look to painting as my principal creative output - delighting in evoking landscape and 'special places' near my home in the upper Tywi valley. I aim to use paint simply, to capture and communicate my connection to places."
