Anya Ward currently lives and works in a converted cowshed in the Preseli Hills of Pembrokeshire with her 3 young children and a guinea pig. 

She is largely a self taught abstract painter, with an early practice in hand built ceramics. Anya has been cultivating her painting practice since around 2007 and decided to commit professionally in 2020.

Relationship and relatability is fundamental to Anya’s life practice, and painting in an expressionistic style is an extension of this. She uses art as a way to express her mental, emotional and spiritual response to her personal exploration towards self actualization: calm and chaos in harmony, often using the Welsh landscape as inspiration. It’s also important to Anya that her work evokes a deep sense of connection within others.
