This is another composition from the Graphite Works where I stayed. I have always found the combination of ‘natural’ and industrial very seductive, so the leaning pylons and northern skies were really exciting to paint.
I used a process of ink and bleach here. Fleeting and unprecious, these paintings were made sat in the snow trying to capture the spaces left behind - I can still feel my cold feet when I look at this.
The giclee prints are identical to the originals, and the saturated nature of the ink works beautifully as a print.
They are printed on heavyweight paper at the highest quality.
