Jon Tutton and I started out as a travelling puppet theatre, making the theatre, backdrops and puppets before taking the theatre on the road, performing in Pub gardens, events and gallery and museum openings.

We started making prints and three dimensional work at around the same time, I’d design and cut blocks and Jon would print them, initially with the back of a wooden spoon, later with a press.

Some elements of our puppetry past are beginning to re-emerge with a series of boxed mixed media figures, and most recently ceramic sculpture.

Painting has been a smaller part of my practice. I have exhibited mostly in group shows or online. I successfully exhibited my narrative paintings, loosely inspired by opera stories, at the Glyndebourne Gallery in 2012 and 2013.

We produce a small range of products – printed tea towels which can be cut out and sewn to make figurative cushions or dolls – and are sold direct online through our website and Etsy, and through many shops and galleries world wide.
