Small box, ideal for jewellery as it doubles as a ring stand. Made from oak and pear wood, with a satin oil/wax finish. The oak has pronounced medullary rays, which contrast nicely with the rich colour yet flat grain of the pear wood collar. The nib of the box has addes pyrography detail to further the contrast.
