Brynberian based paper cut artist Erica Frances George is interested in how people inhabit their environment, both inner and outer.

Erica has exhibited in selected galleries in South West Wales and England; She has illustrated books, created installations and has worked with a wide array of individuals and small businesses to create meaningful brand identities. Erica works primarily in hand cut paper and collagraph printmaking and is currently exploring more immediate ways of mark-making.

“The quiet focus of paper cutting and printmaking allows me to discard the noise and make some sense of the tangled thought-scapes that shape our experience of living. These simple but meticulous processes give me time to slow down and uncover the simplicity that underlies the complex. Here, I find a tether to that which is gentle and kind and ultimately wholehearted.”
