I began creating decorative cabinets of curiosity at home in Llanddeusant during lockdown, as a response to a re-visiting of childhood obsessions inspired by feelings of mortality brought on by the pandemic. This box contains artifacts I excavated from the remains of my parents home after it was totally destroyed by fire in 2021. Although my parents survived, they lost virtually everything, including a lifetime of collected art, books, and heirlooms. This box encapsulates memories and emotions resulting from the loss of our family home.
