Alice Heaton : Glass Blower : Criccieth

I am inspired by the ever changing forms and patterns in my surroundings, particularly the mountains and the sea, and seek to show the beauty and power of nature through my work.

I am fascinated by the interplay of light, reflection and especially colour on the landscape, glass as a medium allows my designs to explore and capture these ever changing moments transforming them into abstract sculptural forms.

My glass pieces are made using traditional glass blowing techniques, gathering the molten glass and adding colour then manipulating it with tools to create the desired form. Whilst letting the colours speak for themselves and creating their own unique movement in the glass.
