A hand formed 10mm porcelain disc is hand dyed in a mix of bright coral orange and soft pink and fired, refined, and glazed in a transparent glaze which adds a high gloss shine to the porcelain.

The gold dip is added and sealed over the glaze in the kiln on a third and final firing. It is then teamed with a 14K gold filled disc that is 11mm. The gold disc sits behind the smaller porcelain disc and the reflective qualities of the crescent shape that is created by the 2 discs together catches the light beautifully, reminiscent of a partial solar eclipse.

The 14k gold filled chain is 16 inches with a 2- inch extender, so therefore can be worn at different lengths.

What Are Gold Filled Chains?  High quality 14k gold filled chains stand the test of time. Two or three thick layers of gold are bonded with heat to cover the base metal inside. The gold-filled chain has a stamp “1/20 14K GF”, this means that it is gold filled, with an outer layer that is 14 karats, and its gold content accounts for 1/20 of the weight of the chain. The gold content is 100% more than a gold plated brass chain making it much more valuable, and more durable. The great thing about gold filled is that it won't tarnish, it will always stay gold, and it won't discolour your skin. The higher content of gold and the process of bonding thick layers with heat means It will look and behave the same as solid gold but at a more affordable price.
