Inspired by the intricate textures and organic patterns of human cell surfaces as seen through a microscope. Made by hand using individual pieces of stained porcelain to represent the proteins, lipids and carbohydrates that decorate our cell membranes. Set onto an unglazed porcelain base with inlay of stained porcelain.
