Mick’s domestic pottery, designed to be used on a daily basis, combines form and warm natural colours to reflect the gathering of friends at the table; to enjoy company, conversation and last but not least food, served in and eaten from beautiful artefacts.

Mick working from his current studio in Talog, established in 1977, uses his own stoneware body and enjoys using the wheel to produce all his forms

The work is very high fired in a gas kiln using a heavy reduction atmosphere in the latter stages of the firing to obtain the distinctive qualities in his unique glazes.
