Collection: Madeline Francis : Painter : Pembrokeshire

Living in the foothills of the Preseli's, the ancient landscape provides inspiration for my painting. Themes of identity and sense of place manifest through expressionistic work. Walking along footpaths, retracing old routes to my childhood home, enables a phenomenological response to the environment. Transitory moments are captured in mixed-media and later developed in the studio onto canvas. My creative practice translates my experience of being present in nature into a tangible form.
