'My recent work has become focused upon time, memory and the brevity of matter. To express this I use the nature of a variety of materials to create a textured surface, layering, obscuring and revealing. I work intuitively, allowing the surface to dictate the flow of paint and the varying dry times of the materials to dictate the outcome. Revealed is a manifestation of activity and duration, of time condensed, a temporal artefact.'
