Lee Yaffie : Potter : Hertfordshire

Having briefly studied ceramics in school and attended evening workshops, I returned to pottery 3 years ago concentrating on my own practice full time.
Predominantly throwing with clay on the wheel I create functional pieces that combine beauty with everyday practicality. 
My purpose is to enhance daily life with art that can be admired in the simplest ways.  
I am inspired by nature, my choice of glazes reflect the natural colours in water and woodlands. 
Splitting my time between suburban Hertfordshire and the stunning landscapes of Laugharne in South Wales that so inspired Dylan Thomas I truly have the best of both worlds.
