Jack Paulssen : Painter : Trap

Whether it's the deep violet shadow of a cumulus cloud tracing over a hillside, or the translucent glow of light through a vase, Jack's oil painting practice centres on echoing nature's power to beautify everyday scenes.  His still life and landscape paintings capture light effects and broken colour by working observationally from life, rooted in a tradition of draughtsmanship and design. 

He can usually be found among Carmarthenshire's hedgerows and footpaths painting landscapes en plein air or depicting interior scenes from his home in Trap.
