Ingrid Nilsson  is a printmaker based in Edinburgh, producing hand designed, cut and pressed lino prints, Each design begins with observational drawings, imaginative illustrations and notes, which are combined in the process of making the finished image. 

"There is something fundamental about a monochrome image, with the attention focused on
content, composition and drawing without the distraction of colour. It is also a great learning exercise
for a printmaker to focus on the values in a piece and see what the bare bones are."
