Collection: Harriet Chapman : Textile Artist : New Quay

Harriet grew up in Aberaeron, Ceredigion. She studied screen-printing at the London College of Printing. Retuning to Wales in 2002 to complete the Surface Pattern Design degree at Swansea College of Art. Harriet now lives in New Quay, where she teaches mixed media classes at her workshop in Aberaeron. 

Harriet's work is inspired by her surroundings, past and present, interested in the history of objects and the familiarity she feels when I look at them, they hold a connection to people, places and a specific time. Many belongings hold family associations they all have an individual narrative linking to memory, meaning and emotion.
