Collection: Hannah Duncan : Jeweller : Swansea

Hannah Duncan is a Swansea based contemporary jeweller and enamel artist who works predominately in enamel, silver and copper. Much of her work is inspired by British coastal landscapes, the south west coast of Scotland in particular.

Over the last couple of years, during holidays at Carrick Shore, Hannah has spent much of her time beach-combing and collecting various small and interesting pebbles. Setting some of these unpolished stones in silver, Hannah has developed a collection of coastal jewellery that celebrates the beauty and individuality of pebbles in their natural state.

Returning to her enamel work, Hannah has also begun making pebble shaped enamelled copper jewellery. The enamel allows her to showcase the beautiful and more vibrant colours that can be seen when the pebbles are wet. In some pieces beach sand has been fired into the surface of the enamel, adding a speckled pattern and pleasing texture.
