Borrowed Landscape

The eighteen artists and makers brought together for this show all enjoy and depict their gardens in their work, and by incorporating the surrounding landscape beyond the boundary, blurring the lines between to bring the landscape into their own space, creates the feeling of greater space. A design ploy for gardeners stretching back centuries, borrowing the landscape extends the viewers sense of place and creates a unique atmosphere.

Whether quite literally extracting clay and materials from the ground to incorporate into an amazing and unique vessel or capturing the landscape before them into a symphony of colour that explodes off the canvas… this promises to be an uplifting visual feast with a riot of colour clashes.
