Following my jewellery B.A Hons at Central St Martins and my gemmology studies, my designs always pay tribute to the longevity of the gemstones and minerals I use and I aim to create timeless pieces that will be enjoyed by generations to come.

I was schooled in the creative atmosphere of Dartington Hall School, Devon, where I was introduced to a jewellery workshop at the age of 16. The skills of a jeweller are remarkably similar to those of my father, who was a practising dentist in Llandovery. His lab with its array of fine tools and equipment exerted a deep-rooted influence. The combination of jewellery with my study of gemmology, remain the two bedrocks of my career.

Creativity inhabits my thoughts and reaches into every corner of my life, I paint, draw, sculpt, design and make things daily.

I have travelled extensively, seeking unusual gemstones for my jewellery collections and private customers. Sri Lanka’s mines gave me sapphires and emeralds have come from Columbia. I have regular trips to Jaipur in India, which is known as the gemstone cutting capital of the world. Arizona USA has become a scheduled destination, following its development into an international market place for minerals, Tucson is known for its exquisite turquoise mines.

I returned to Wales in 2004, moving my workshop from Notting Hill, London to the Towy valley. Coming back to the countryside has allowed me time to watch and absorb nature’s creations. Unsurprisingly, these observations have quietly influenced my work.

I predominantly make bespoke jewellery commissions for local and international clients.
