Coal Tree was an installation Sarah made in the landscape near the village of Cwmgiedd in the Swansea Valley. The project, which began as part of her ACW funded residency in partnership with The Josef Herman Art Foundation Cymru in Ystradgynlais, evolved into a touring exhibition Coal Tree Salt Sea.and book with the same title. Sarah met the poet David Greenslade at her public Coal Tree event in 2015 after which he wrote various related poems which are published in the book. Both prints have extracts from the poem Coal Tree
